While your GPA and test scores are important, the things you do outside of the classroom matter, too. In fact, both colleges AND employers take your extracurricular activities into account when making their selections. Furthermore, participation in engagement activities has the potential to improve a variety of skills that are important to your success after high school. These skills include, but are not limited to, academic, social, communication, time and stress management, and leadership skills.
